Book Description
Rockin' with Porch Memories is a collective memoire
in words and pictures celebrating the Great American Porch.
The book includes a chapter on the porches of Waterford written
by John Divine, annotated by Bronwen Souders as well as a chapter
devoted to paintings with porch motifs by Waterfordian, Antonia
Walker.
Ninety percent of the proceeds from the sale of this book goes
into a scholarship fund awarded annually to an oral history student
at Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville, Virginia.
About the Author
Eighty (80) contributing authors include politicians,
poets artists, and writers of prose or just plain folk with a
story to tell of their favorite porch. To name a few; Virginia
State Senator Russell Potts, Poet/Author Adriana Trigiani, artist,
Antonia Walker and journalist/author/commentator, Russell Baker.
